History
Late in 2000, while he was still living in Bangkok, Frank (Wattana Chowatanakul) received a vision from God through a dream seeing his house in Canada being opened for bible study to people from many nations. He then told his wife, Sue (Suchitra Chowatanakul) who thought it was impossible. But, together, they started praying asked God for confirmations. God responded through many signs and answered prayers and finally brought them and three children to Canada in April 2002. In the first few years, the couple did not have a chance to meet any Thai friends. However, through Sue’s ESL class they met many foreign friends whom they invited to to their house for Bible study. In 2005, Sue got a call from Rev. John Chung from Young Nak church. He asked if there is any Thai church in Canada. Finding out that there was none, he encouraged her to reach out to the Thai people. Sue then prayed and asked God for a sign by leading her to meet with Thai people. That very day, she ran into a Thai people in a super market. From that point on, Sue was led to meet more and more Thais. They started having Bible study at one’s house and the others every week for two years. Later, as the small fellowship grew, Young Nak church invited them to use their facility as a gathering place.
Beliefs
WE BELIEVE IN GOD, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
WE BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST, God’s only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come again to judge the living and the dead.
WE BELIEVE IN THE HOLY SPIRIT, the holy catholic (universal) church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
